Homemade Peanut Butter Doggie Treats

In the last few weeks, I have been on a major baking spree. My baking has not, however, been limited to human food, I even made treats for our family dog, Teddy. And, boy oh boy, did he love them! They are ubber easy to make and so nice to have fresh dog treats on hand versus store bought ones.

Homemade Peanut Butter Doggie Treats
Yields 25 doggie treats
Recipe from Sugarlaws.

2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup skim milk

Preheat oven to 375F.

In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder. In another bowl, mix peanut butter and milk. Add wet mixture to dry and mix well.

Turn out dough on a lightly floured surface and knead. Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness and cut out shapes. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake 25 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool on a rack and store in an airtight container.

These should keep for up to a week. I froze a bunch of them and they seem to be keeping well! A great gift for doggies 🙂 I will definitely be making batches of this treat come next Christmas for all of my friends’ dogs.
